Samsung is planning to add another phone to its Galaxy A series. The company is reportedly working on the Galaxy A02s for a while now. The Galaxy A02 and A02s appeared on a Geekbench listing, which confirmed the rumors. The listing revealed some key specifications about the Galaxy A02s. Presumably, the Galaxy A02s could be an upgraded version of the Samsung Galaxy A02. However, the brand has not commented on any of the leaks yet.

Key Features of the Samsung Galaxy A02s

MySmartPrice was the first one to spot the model in the Geekbench listing. As per the report, the Galaxy A02s will have 3GB RAM with the model number SM-A025G. On the other hand, the standard Galaxy A02 had the model number SM-A025GF. Diving further into technical details, the Galaxy A02 seems to pack a motherboard called “QC_Reference_Phone.” The name hints that the phone is still under development. The listing additionally revealed that the phone would include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset paired with Adreno 506 GPU. A disappointing detail mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy A02s will run on Android 10 out-of-the-box. However, Samsung could possibly upgrade it to Android 11, now that the version is out and rolling.

More about the listing and the expected release date

Apart from the above details, no additional features and specifications of the upcoming device are known. Along with the Samsung Galaxy A02 and the Samsung Galaxy A02s, the Galaxy M02 also received its Bluetooth certification. This indicates that the company could launch the three models together.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A01 back in December 2019. The company hasn’t even announced the models, let alone their release date. However, it could possibly unveil the upcoming phones sometime in December 2020. The shipping might start in early 2021 in that case.
