Cindy Baine

Cindy Baine of Joplin, Missouri has become one of only 50 women in the United States to be certified as a professional tennis chair umpire by the International Tennis Federation (I.T.F.).   She attained the certification during the I.T.F. White Badge School held March 7 - 11 in Montreal, Canada. The certification was awarded after four days of classroom and on-court testing.

The United States Tennis Association (U.S.T.A.) has previously certified Baine as a national professional tennis line judge and a regional trainer and evaluator. She is the current Chairman of the Missouri Division of the United States Tennis Association Umpires.
 Baine began her career as a professional tennis judge at the 2002 U.S.T.A. professional tennis matches held at the Millennium Tennis and Fitness Club in Joplin. She was chosen in 2004, 2005 and 2006 as an umpire for the United States Open Tennis Tournaments in New York.
