 All we know about Bumbleblee 2?
The journey started with Michael Bay directing the legendary “Transformers”. Its spin-off and sequel “Bumblebee” was released by Paramount Pictures in 2018, and now we finally anticipate Bumblebee 2 coming ahead. The first part left everyone’s jaws glued to the floor when it bagged more than $400 million all across the world. So, even though a “Bumblebee” sequel wasn’t given the formal go-ahead, Deadline claimed in January 2019 that it was already in the works. During an interview with Collider in March 2019, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura seemed to imply that a “Bumblebee” sequel was in the works.
What could be the plot for Bumblebee 2?
Bumblebee and Charlie parted ways at the conclusion of Bumblebee 1, and both went their separate ways. At the very end, Optimus Prime and some other Autobots gather for a family reunion. A brand new plot can be created based on this new spinoff.
One of the modifications made to the “Transformers” universe by “Bumblebee” was a closer examination of certain characters and a reduction in action in favour of personality, Â thus Bumblebee 2 could create deeper characterization for Optimus Prime or other Autobots, too. You might remember that the Autobot and Optimus Prime reunite at the conclusion of “Bumblebee,” and that additional Autobots come to Earth. That provides a history that differs from what is depicted in the Michael Bay films, and it may serve as the basis for a soft reboot of the series.
Release Date
Paramount announced that a new “Transformers” movie will release on June 24, 2022. However, in June 2021, the official Twitter of Transformers confirmed that the 2022 release date is not for the Bumblebee sequel but for ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Since Bumblebee 2 has essentially been scrapped, we can at least focus on specifics for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The movie will premiere on June 9, 2023.
Fans may have to wait until any official announcement is made by the makers to have a better idea of when Bumblebee 2 will hit the cinemas as its producers have not provided any information on the same as of now.
