‘Dom,’ often styled as ‘DOM,’ is Amazon Prime Video’s first scripted original series from Brazil. Pedro Dom and his father Victor, who are on opposing sides of the narcotraffic conflict, star in the criminal thriller series. Pedro battles with addiction and becomes one of the most sought criminals in the country, whereas Victor is a committed police officer.
The series has attracted a large international following, owing to the fact that it is based on actual events. While the real Pedro was most known for his misdeeds, the series gives his life a human face. The action-packed series has also been hailed for its delicate storyline and directing.
Will there be a second season of Dom?
Dom is yet to be renewed for a second season as of June 20, 2021. We can’t predict if Amazon Prime will cancel or renew the series for season 2 because the first season just came out. They will take some time to make a decision about the show’s future based on viewership and ratings. Season 2 has yet to be formally announced, therefore there is no information on when it will be released. However, Amazon’s press release for the first season specifies a “eight-episode first season of Dom,” implying that if the series becomes popular enough, a second season would be produced. The inaugural season began on the first day of Rio de Janeiro’s partial lockdown in response to a pandemic breakout in May 2021. Because none of the sequences were shot in a studio, the first season’s filming took place over a period of roughly 170 days. If all goes according to plan, we may have to wait a long because Amazon Prime has a habit of releasing two seasons within 16 to 18 months of each other. As a result, we may anticipate the publication of Dom season 2 in late 2022 or early 2023.
Dom Season 2 Story
Because the program is based on true events, we can tell you what happens after Pedro fires a grenade at them, as I’ve stated many times. Pedro is short in a posh neighborhood in his chest after the event. However, we cannot predict how the second season of the program will begin because the show’s writers have invented numerous fictitious characters, so there may be further adventures.
Furthermore, Victor discovers that Jasmin is pregnant in the final episode of the first season. As a result, there may be sequences in which Victor informs Pedro of this. First and foremost, Victor must determine where his kid is, as he is in a location from which he will have a tough time returning.
Pedro is unlikely to die in the first episode of the second season, given the show’s numerous fabricated incidents. Because the program wouldn’t be able to carry on without him. The show’s writers must keep him alive till the conclusion. The second season’s goal is to keep the audience interested. But these are just speculations; we’ll have to wait for season 2 to find out.
Release Date: As per Sources Dom Season 2 will be released in the month of December, 2021.
Dom Season 2 Cast
There’s a potential that the cast from the first season may return for the second. However, no formal information about the cast has been released. However, Flávio Tolezani (Victor Dantas), Gabriel Leone (Pedro Dom), and Filipe Bragança might be seen (young Victor). These are the show’s key characters, and they may return. Mariana Cerrone (Laura), Raquel Villar (Jasmin), Isabella Santoni (Viviane), Digo Ribeiro (rmario), and Laila Garin round out the cast (Marisa).
We may see Marc Szwarcwald and Guilherme Garcia in the part of Pedro when he was younger, as the show has shown us in the past. In the second season of the show, additional characters may be introduced.
