Watch: Jonathan Majors, Regina King and Idris Elba starrer The Harder They Fall gets its first trailer

The first trailer for Netflix’s new Western feature “The Harder They Fall” has been released, and it may well be one of the most legend blockbusters of the fall film era.  Actors: Zazie Beetz, Delroy Lindo, LaKeith Stanfield, Regina King, Idris Elba, Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi, R.J. Cyler, Damon Wayans Jr., and Deon Cole’s. If “The Harder They Fall” wasn’t already one of our highly anticipated films of 2021, it is now. The film is being marketed as a “new school Western” by Netflix.

Expected to be most anticipated

In “The Harder They Fall,” Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, and Regina King square off, and if the trailer is any indication, fans should expect a muddy, dusty, and hazardous journey. The highly anticipated western starring Majors, Elba, King, Zazie Beetz, and LaKeith Stanfield received its first full trailer on 6/24 Thursday.

Expected date to be released

The Harder They Fall has yet to be given a release date, but it is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2021.

Majors and Delroy Lindo, who played father and son in last year’s Spike Lee film “Da 5 Bloods,” reunite in this film. Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi, R.J. Cyler, Damon Wayans Jr., and Deon Cole round out the all-star cast.

The movie begins with King’s “Treacherous” Trudy Smith riding a horse towards a moving train, where she and her gang of criminals come to a halt on the track. The conductor is then easily killed by King, who shoots him when he tries to call her something that starts with an “N.” Before turning their weapons on the agents who imprisoned Elba’s Rufus Buck, the team boarded the train to fulfill their actual goal: breaking him out of his temporary jail.

Midway through the video, Majors’ Nat Love is presented as an avenging angel “who hunts down those who offend against him with no pity.” The “no mercy” portion of that introduction is immediately verified when Nat easily wins a pistol battle in a church. Elba’s Rufus also gets his licks in after he’s out of his handcuffs, participating in a gory street brawl, while King and Beetz show off their characters’ marksmanship in short flashes.
